Release Notes

Use this page to review user-visible changes before you upgrade BillManager.

v4.13.0

Added

  • Self-hosted and SaaS servers can send privacy-filtered crash reports to your own Sentry project. Crash reporting stays off unless you set SENTRY_DSN. See Crash Reporting.
  • Deployments that build their own image can enable Umami product analytics with build arguments. Public self-hosted images contain no tracker. See Product Analytics.

Changed

  • BillManager Cloud now offers one paid plan, Pro, for $2.99 per month or $24 per year. Pro includes unlimited bills, 6 users, 3 Bill Groups, CSV/PDF export, full analytics, and priority support.
  • New BillManager Cloud accounts get a 30-day Pro trial. No credit card is required.
  • Existing Basic and Plus subscriptions keep working and receive Pro features and limits.
  • When a BillManager Cloud account returns to Free, additional users lose access until the owner subscribes to Pro again.
  • Checkout and Stripe webhooks fail closed when billing is not fully configured. Duplicate and out-of-order webhooks are ignored, and completed checkouts reconcile the subscription status with the purchased plan.

Mobile

  • The Android app is in closed testing on Google Play, with a public release to follow after testing. The iOS app is coming soon. See Mobile App.

v4.12.2

Added

  • BillManager asks for fresh identity confirmation before you link an OAuth account, add a passkey, or replace recovery codes.
  • A passwordless account owner must also confirm their identity before account deletion.

Changed

  • API clients must use POST /api/v2/auth/2fa/recovery-codes to replace recovery codes.
  • Mobile clients need an app-held verifier for native OAuth callbacks that use a private custom scheme.
  • Telemetry statistics require TELEMETRY_STATS_API_KEY or an operator token.

Read Confirm Your Identity and the v4.12.2 upgrade notes.

v4.11.0

Changed

  • Python dependencies use one lock across development, CI, security checks, and production images.
  • Supported builds use Node.js 24 LTS and Python 3.14.
  • The web application uses Mantine 9, Vite 8, and Vitest 4.
  • Grouped dependency updates cover npm, Python, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
  • Release checks cover the backend, web app, mobile app, security checks, and multi-architecture container images.

Earlier v4 releases added personal currencies, category budgets, cash-flow forecasts, settlements, reminders, localization, SMTP email, generic OIDC, and the first internal mobile test build.
